Wong Poh Chew, a Hainanese, emigrated from China to Malaysia in his early twenties in search of greener pastures. He was employed as a chef by a British man in a restaurant where they served local and Western food. After years of hard work and with some savings, he decided to venture out into starting his own food business.
In 1937, Wong together with his brother Wong Poh Ting opened 'Kedai Kopi Sin Yoon Loong',
one of the oldest traditional Hainanese coffee shops in old town, Ipoh,
Perak, Malaysia. The brothers’ passion about serving
superior coffee saw them through relentless researches and experiments
on the techniques of roasting the coffee beans and making the perfect
cup of coffee.

genetically produce seedlings from proven and high quality resinous
Aquilaria trees that can be induced to produce Agarwood within 6 to 10
years.
To date, our group company owns and manages a plantation situated near Gopeng, Perak where we have planted approximately 200,000 trees covering more than 300 acres (the figures are still growing). We are encouraging people and investors to plant and venture into this promising and lucrative business while preserving the Aquilaria species for future generations.

Ipoh, a city surrounded by many hills in the west peninsula
of Malaysia, the Yee Family has had a long history in the pastry making
business, dated back in 1981. Yee Hup Biscuits was established by Mr. Yee Ah
Lek and his beloved wife Madam Wong Chin Haw (founder) as a family business and
they started operating their first bakery at their home, No. 32, Lorong Gunung
Rapat 3, Ipoh, Perak. 
The unique taste of Yee Hup pastries,
which lies in its traditional way of baking its biscuits with coconut husks in
a custom-made oven, has made them famous amongst the locals. The core product
